Time has such tiny teeth

By the window
Trying to snatch scattered thoughts
from the wind

The wind has such tiny hands
Time has such tiny teeth

Look at my hands
Counts the scars
I’ll make some tea

My heart
a hopelessly broken heart
into a scarlet-velvet lined teakwood box

Close the lid
slide the little bolt into place

The tea steams
