oh gentle student

a writer is but a reflection in a dark glass

you reflect on the ‘Verse
and if you release yourself to it

if you become as supple as a ribbon
shaped by the wind of the ‘Verse

if you relent in your relentless struggle
and let the currents pull you apart

if you become a small round blue eye

then you will be no closer to your answer
but you will write better . . .;)

yours in zen
