haemorrhaged prayer

she said
“A man needs to be free
to toil. . .
To put words to paper and know the heart of his poem
It is a privilege that not many may know”

i am an echo across time
i have held many moments in my hands
moments that few can ever know or hope to know

my thoughts
they boil up in my heart
choke me
pour out of my mouth like a haemorrhaged prayer

my words spilling to become a silence
silent words on the screen
that you now read
