cast upon the shore ~ merfolk

His eyes open and they are the deepest glowing green
She retreats
He struggles
Flounders
And she wants to help
But fear for her life holds her away

Two titans via for her heart
Fear of injury
And a need to help

She sings
She makes up the words
They just come to her mouth and she has never sang this song before
She sings the sleek birds the glide the tides
The graceful fishes that ply the seas
The deep things
She sings the deep things
And somehow she knows without knowing how she knows. . .

He is provoked by this but somehow more calm
He is moving to stand and he wavers
