Love is Such An Easy Addiction

And given half a chance
I would fall with you through summer skies the color of creme

Love is the long glide into scarlet maple leaves
And crunchy and crispy-like new fallen oak leaves
Wrestling with you – knowing i’m going to surrender

Love is the first snowfall on Christmas since 1962
And warm poofy comforter cocoons in front of a fire gone to embers
Hands holding hands . . .

Love is such an easy mistake
And in this tilt-o-whirl chaos world of winter tide
The only one really worth making
